Effective Date: 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to all plumbing services provided by Aegis Plumbing (“we”, “our”, “us”) to customers (“you”, “the client”).

  • Relevant Australian Standards
  • Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010)

Compliance documentation will be provided where required by law.

2. Quotes & Estimates

Quotes are provided based on the information available at the time of inspection.

If unforeseen conditions are discovered (including hidden pipe damage, collapsed drains, non-compliant previous work, or safety risks), additional work may be required.

You will be informed before any additional chargeable work proceeds.

Estimates are not fixed quotes and may vary depending on site conditions.

3. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We reserve the right to:

  • Request deposits for larger jobs
  • Issue progress invoices where applicable
  • Suspend work if payment is not received as agreed

Late payments may incur reasonable recovery costs where permitted by law.

4. Access to Property

You must provide safe and reasonable access to the work area.

We are not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by:

  • Restricted access
  • Unsafe site conditions
  • Other trades interfering with plumbing work

Where access requires removal of fixtures, furniture, or landscaping, this is the responsibility of the property owner unless otherwise agreed.

5. Existing Installations

We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, non-compliant installations, or aged pipework discovered during the course of work.

Where such issues are identified, we will advise you of recommended corrective action.

Temporary repairs may be declined where they create safety or compliance risks.

6. Warranties

Workmanship is guaranteed in accordance with:

  • Victorian statutory warranty requirements
  • Manufacturer warranties on supplied products

Warranty does not apply where failure is caused by:

  • Misuse
  • Lack of maintenance
  • Third-party interference
  • Structural movement
  • Blockages caused by inappropriate use

Manufacturer warranty claims must be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s terms.

7. Emergency Work

Emergency plumbing work may be carried out to:

  • Prevent property damage
  • Protect health and safety
  • Restore essential services

Where immediate action is required, you authorise necessary work to stabilise the issue.

8. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Where permitted by law, liability is limited to:

  • Repairing the service
  • Replacing the service
  • Refund of the service cost

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential loss
  • Loss of income
  • Loss of use
  • Damage resulting from pre-existing conditions

9. Variations & Changes

Any variation to agreed work must be approved before proceeding.

Verbal variations may be confirmed by written message (SMS or email).

10. Cancellations

If a booking is cancelled without reasonable notice after attendance has been scheduled, a call-out fee may apply.

11. Safety & Compliance

All plumbing work must comply with Victorian safety regulations.

We reserve the right to refuse work that:

  • Is unsafe
  • Breaches compliance requirements
  • Compromises licensing obligations

12. Privacy

Personal information collected in the course of providing services is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

If payment is not made by the due date, Aegis Plumbing reserves the right to:

  • Court filing fees
  • Interest on overdue amounts (calculated at a reasonable commercial rate)

You agree to indemnify Aegis Plumbing for all reasonable recovery costs incurred as a result of non-payment.

Nothing in this clause limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

15. Retention of Title (Materials & Goods Supplied)

All materials, fixtures, appliances, and goods supplied by Aegis Plumbing remain the property of Aegis Plumbing until payment is received in full.

Until full payment is made:

  • Title to the goods does not pass to the client
